Winter can be a lonely time in Mohican, but with solitude comes wondrous discovery, sometimes just below the snow cover. Our journey begins with listening to the underwater sounds of a frozen lake. It continues as we climb to the top of a fire tower to hear its hidden sounds (bonus track). Then we walk the Hemlock Gorge trail (bonus track). Tired, we sit inside a hollow tree to hear a woodpecker drum on a nearby tree (bonus track). And finally, we walk beneath a frozen Big Lyons Falls, with a giant icicle stretching 80 feet from bottom to top.
